For the passed four years we have had two wooden chairs on our front porch, mainly because I couldn't find a place for them in our small, already crammed house, but also because we love sitting outside and I am convinced the mosquitoes take longer to find you on the front porch than they do in the backyard. Unfortunately, the chairs were not intended to live outside, especially through St. Louis summers and winters consecutively. After four years something had to be done.
Voices live in every finite being,
Often undivined, near silence.
Hear them!
Hear them in you! in others!
They sense truth deep in all life;
They know the things true Pilgrims stand for.
Stand out!
Come to Him without the things the world brings;
Come to Him!
As a child and as a poor man.
He had all. He gave all.
~Charles Ives
